    2. Baraboo Area Senior Citizen Organization request to sell pizza and soda on the Courthouse Square during the concerts on the Square.
    3. Request by West Kindergarten Center to use the Courthouse Square, steps and sidewalk on Thursday morning , May 26, 2011, for a concert on the square.

      1. Approve resolution accepting an offer to purchase on tax delinquent real estate acquired by Sauk County.

PROPERTY AND INSURANCE COMMITTEE MEETING

Excused Members: Lowell Haugen
Others Present: Timothy Stieve, Carl Gruber, Marty Krueger, Julie Hyser, Kathy Schauf, Alene Kleczek-Bolin, Liz Geoghegan, Kevin Fults, Steve Muchow, Jim Ruder

1. Meeting called to order by Hartje at 8:00 a.m. Compliance with Open Meeting Law was met.
2. Adopt Agenda: Motion by Dippel, second by Johnson to approve agenda. Carried.
3. Adopt draft minutes of March 07, 2011: Motion by Riek, second by Johnson to approve
minutes. Carried.
4. Public comment: None
5. Communications:
a. Request by Downtown Baraboo Inc. (DBI) to utilize the Courthouse Lawn for the following events: Fair on the Square May 14, 2011 & October 8, 2011 and Holly Jolly Light Parade November 19, 2011.

Motion by Dippel, second by Johnson to approve all requests for use of the Courthouse square. Carried.
6. Business Items:
a. Treasurers report -
i. Approve resolution accepting an offer to purchase in the amount of $1,500 for a tax delinquent property in Town of Lavalle. Motion by Johnson, second by Riek to approve the resolution for sale of the property. Carried.
ii. Liz and Alene discussed the legal process required to secure a clear title on the Christmas Mountain tax deeded property. Motion by Hartje, second by Riek to proceed with the legal process to secure a clear title. Carried.
c. Tim will be checking on the progress of the HCC demolition this week. Discussion regarding the
condition of the metal roof on one of the remaining farm building and also the fire house.
d. Tim discussed three different routes along with costs options for running fiber to the Sauk
County Highway Department. Steve Muchow was present to discuss the need for the fiber.

7. Departmental Updates - Risk Management (Carl Gruber).
a. Carl provided the monthly report for Risk Management. Motion by Krueger second by Dippel to approve the monthly report. Carried.
b. Deductibles: None
c. A review of a policy regarding the Use of Huber Inmates by County Departments was done. Suggestions were made for additions/changes to be made to the policy. Motion by Krueger, second by Dippel to approve the policy with the specified additions/changes. Carried.

Departmental Updates - Buildings, Communications/Towers & Landfill (Tim Stieve).
a. Tim provided the monthly report for Buildings/Communications.
b. Tim reviewed vouchers. Motion by Krueger, second by Riek to approve the monthly report and vouchers. Carried.
C. Tim presented a resolution to honor Dave Elder for his years of service to Sauk County. Motion by Krueger, second by Dippel to approve the resolution. Carried.

8. Next Meeting date: Regular meeting was set for May 09, 2011, at 5:30 p.m.

9. Adjourn: Motion by Krueger, second by Johnson to adjourn. Carried.
