Meeting Minutes

 

Committee Members Present: Deitrich, Felton, Fleischman, Geoghegan, Pate, Rathman, Wilson

Committee Members Absent: Bailey, Dederich, Gavin, Seidl, Simmert,

 

1.  Call to Order: Deitrich called meeting to order at 3pm

 

2.  Adopt Agenda: Motion by Pate, seconded by Geoghegan to adopt agenda. Motion carried.

 

3.  Approve Minutes: Motion by Pate , seconded by Geoghegan to approve minutes from January 31, 2023 meeting.

 

4.  Public Comment: None

 

5.  Communications: None

 

6.  Review 2022 Land Records Budget Progress: Pate handed out document.  Discussion.

 

7.  Discussion of Land Records Activities & Updates by Department

a. Surveyor report

          1. Update on Remonumentation projects for 2023 WLIP Grant: Dederich was not present. Skipped item.  Will add to September 2023 meeting agenda.

 

b. Land Records/GIS

          1. 2022 Land Records Report to DOA: Felton stated that Accounting sent the numbers for Land Records accounts.  She is currently working on the report.  Plan is to have it submitted to DOA the first week in June. The report is due June 30th.
          2. 2023 Summer Intern Projects: Fleischmann discussed the projectsthat the summer intern is working on. The first project is re-creating slope and hillshade data for LRE staff to utilize.  This data had to be recreated with the republishing work on the new server. Other projects are in the works for the intern, may include land use creation.
          3. ArcGIS Pro upgrade, training, Parcel Fabric migration: The server upgrade is complete, servers are working well, and everything is running smoothly. Panda Consulting is working on migration of our parcels into the ArcGIS Pro Parcel Fabric. Our data was sent to them this week.  Staff will be getting training in mid-June on ArcGIS Pro from Panda Consulting
          4. NG9-1-1 GIS Project: Onboarding with ESINET will occur by mid-summer
          5. Sacred Earth-Devil’s Lake Project: Flight was flown mid-March.  No word on when the data will arrive, assume by end of the year. 

 

8.  2024 Land Records Modernization Budget: Discussion of 2024 Goals & Priorities: Majority of the Goals & Priorities are current. Discussed update on some items such as PLSS remonumentation projects and moving section corners to match parcel fabric. Other items discussed and will be added to Goals & Objectives are: 2025 Imagery; Clean up of GIS to 98% to be NG compliant; Get data ready for onboarding ESINET.  Discussed Book Scanning that ROD had wanted

 

10.  Agenda items for next meeting: Budget for 2024 will be discussed, for the most part the majority of budget work will be done by the next LIC meeting. Will forward usual agenda items to next agenda.

 

11.  Next meeting (Set for Thursday September 21, 2023 @ 3pm; Room 213)

 

12.  Adjournment: Motion by Pate, seconded by Gavin to adjourn meeting at 3:16 pm.
