This meeting is open to the public. The regular meeting of the Sauk County Law Enforcement Committee was held on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at 05:15 pm, in Room 213, West Square Building, 505 Broadway, Baraboo WI
The meeting was properly posted and all interested parties were notified.

Call to Order and Certification of Open Meeting Law: The meeting was called to order and in compliance with the Open Meeting Law was certified by David Riek at 05:20 pm.
Agenda: Motion by Dorner, seconded by Reppen to adopt the agenda. Motion carried.
Approve minutes of Previous Meeting(s): Motion by Deitrich, seconded by Schell to approve minutes from March 9, 2021. Motion Carried.

Sauk County Animal Shelter operations update:
25 Calls in March with 12 bite case reports.
Review and approve expenses for Coroner.
Motion by Dorner, seconded by Deitrich to approve payment of the Coroner’s expenses in the amount of $2,379.12. Bills discussed. Motion carried.
Coroner’s Report
Report handed out.
Review and approve expenses for Sheriff.
Motion by Schell, seconded by Dorner to approve payment of the Sheriff’s expenses in the amount of $319,439.16 for March 2021. Bills discussed. Motion carried.
Discussion of Jail Facility.
T. Dorner advised he toured the facility yesterday. He wanted to discuss the empty facility and what potential future use there could be done. T. Reppen did some research about reusing old jail facilities. One item he noted was a secure data location. K Schell will have the topic put on the agenda for Property and Insurance.
Monthly update on Justice Diversion and support Committee.
JDS update- 4 new referral for SUDS 2 discharges. 15 active participants.
ATC 13 active. 2 referrals new, 6 pending admits, and 8 pending referrals.
Educational navigator- 4 in Huber in program.
AJS no quorum in March. Judge discussing with new Corporation Counsel about options for smaller workgroups vs committee so quorum is not an issue.
