REASON FOR MEETING: PUBLIC HEARING
The purpose of this hearing is to provide the citizens of Sauk County an explanation of the proposed application for Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds. The public is invited to attend to learn about the CDBG pro-gram, to help identify additional local housing and community development needs, and to comment on the activities proposed to be included in the CDBG application.

Chairperson Krueger called the meeting to order at 5:30 P.M. and noted compliance with the Open Meeting Law.
Krueger next announced the purpose of this meeting was to hold a public hearing to provide the citizens of Sauk County an explanation of the proposed application for Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds. The public was invited to attend to learn about the CDBG program, to help identify additional local housing and community development needs, and to comment on the activities proposed to be included in the CDBG application.
Kathy Schauf, Administrative Coordinator, proceeded with the following overview:

Identification of total potential funds: $615,000, including administration portion.

Presentation of identified housing and community development needs: aging infrastructure and population, need to maintain and rehabilitate housing stock, replace failing septic systems: spotlighting on rural, unincorporated areas of the county.

Identification of housing and community development needs by public: no members of the public were in attendance.

Presentation of activities proposed for CDBG application, including potential residential displacement: no residential displacement is anticipated, dealing more with rehabilitation.

Citizen input regarding proposed and other CDBG activities: none
Chair Krueger declared the public hearing closed followed with a motion by Wenzel, seconded by Bach to adjourn. Motion carried and the meeting adjourned at 5:40 P.M.
