Others Present: Supervisor Dietz, Supervisor Kriegl, Supervisor Wenzel, Supervisor Peterson, Jerry Parchem, Don Dunbar, Warren Frank, Arthur Biesek and Wayne Unrath
Chair Krueger called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m. and compliance with the Open Meeting Law was verified.
MOTION (Polivka/Czuprynko) to adopt the agenda. Motion carried unanimously.
MOTION (Hambrecht/Czuprynko) to approve the minutes of the regular meeting on July 7, 2016 and the special meeting on July 19, 2016. Motion carried unanimously.
Public Comment:
a) Jerry Parchem, Baraboo, re: the mental health specialist, part-time position in the CJCC budget.
b) Don Dunbar, Baraboo, re: the mental health specialist, part-time position in the CJCC budget.
c) Warren Frank, La Valle, re: the mental health specialist, part-time position in the CJCC budget.
d) Arthur Biesek, Wisconsin Dells, re: the mental health specialist, part-time position in the CJCC
budget.
e) Wayne Unrath: re: the mental health specialist, part-time position in the CJCC budget.

Jeff Jelinek, Emergency Management:
a) Jelinek presented the monthly report and list of bills for his department.
MOTION (Polivka/Fordham) to receive the report and approve bills in the amount of $2,922.85.
Motion carried unanimously.
b) Jelinek presented the preliminary 2017 budget for his department.
MOTION (Fordham/Hambrecht) to approve the preliminary budget for the department. Motion carried unanimously.
Janelle Krueger, Criminal Justice Coordinator:
a) Fry presented the monthly report and list of bills for the department.
MOTION (Czuprynko/Polivka) to receive the report and approve bills in the amount of $3,977.71.
Motion carried unanimously.
b) Fry presented the 2017 mission, vision and goals for the department.
MOTION (Hambrecht/Czuprynko) to approve the 2017 mission, vision and goals for the department. Motion carried.
c) Fry presented the preliminary 2017 budget for the department.
MOTION (Fordham/Czuprynko) to approve the preliminary budget for the department. Motion carried unanimously.
Steve Pate, MIS Department:
a) Pate presented the monthly report and list of bills for his department.
MOTION (Polivka/Fordham) to receive the report and approve bills in the amount of $325,853.45.
Motion carried unanimously.
b) Consideration of computer donation requests.
MOTION (Polivka/Czuprynko) to approve the computer donation request. Motion carried unanimously.
c) Pate presented the preliminary 2017 budget for his department.
MOTION (Polivka/Fordham) to approve the preliminary budget for the department. Motion carried. Supervisor Czuprynko was absent for the vote.
Becky Evert, County Clerk Department:
a) Evert presented the monthly report and list of bills for her department.
MOTION (Polivka/Czuprynko) to receive the report and approve bills in the amount of $5,148.15.
Motion carried unanimously.
b) Evert presented the preliminary 2017 budget for her department.
MOTION (Fordham/Polivka) to approve the preliminary budget for the department. Motion carried unanimously.
Todd Liebman, Corporation Counsel Department:
a) Liebman presented the monthly report and list of bills for his department.
MOTION (Fordham/Hambrecht) to receive the report and approve bills in the amount of $147.10.
Motion carried unanimously.
b) Liebman presented the preliminary 2017 budget for his department.
MOTION (Polivka/Czuprynko) to approve the preliminary budget for the department. Motion carried unanimously.
c) Resolution Commending Wendy J.N. Klicko For More Than Sixteen Years Of Faithful Service To The People Of Sauk County.
MOTION (Polivka/Fordham) to approve and forward the resolution to the August 16, 2016 county board meeting. Motion carried unanimously.
Renae Fry, Administrative Coordinator:
a) Fry presented the monthly report and list of bills for her department.
MOTION (Fordham/Hambrecht) to receive the report and approve bills in the amount of $126.45.
Motion carried unanimously.
b) Fry presented the 2017 preliminary budget for her department.
MOTION (Hambrecht/Czuprynko) to approve the preliminary budget for the department.
Motion carried unanimously.
County Board Chair Report:
a) Chair Krueger presented his monthly report of meetings, activities and concerns over the past month and highlighted upcoming events and meetings.
b) Discussion and consideration of the 2017 mission, vision, and goals for the committee.
The committee came up with the following goals:

Increase involvement with NACo.

Increase public engagement with Board processes.

Provide adequate information to Board members for resolutions.

Work toward common goals with economic development efforts in the County.
MOTION (Hambrecht/Fordham) to approve the 2017 mission, vision and goals for the committee. Motion carried unanimously.
c) Update on vacancy in District 11.
d) Discussion of role of Administrative Coordinator with SCDC during transition.
