Chair Krueger called the meeting to order at 8:00 A.M. and compliance with the Open Meetings Law was verified.
Motion by Bach, seconded by Fordham to approve the agenda for this meeting as mailed. Motion carried.
Motion by Fordham, seconded by Bach to approve the minutes of the regular June 1, 2011 meeting, special June 14, 2011 meeting and special June 21, 2011 meeting as printed. Motion carried.
Public Comment:
None
Communications:
• Chair Krueger letter to Gael Hanson to discuss concerns regarding Sheriff’s department budget. As of the meeting – no response had been received.
• Chair Krueger letter to President-Elect John Greendeer congratulating him on recent election and extending Sauk County’s invitation looking forward to continue a productive and beneficial relationship with the Nation.
• Memorandum from WCA regarding Income Maintenance Consortia Training – brief highlights regarding administering IM programs.
Consideration of a resolution Authorizing Reimbursement for Attendance at the WCA Conference in Wisconsin Dells:
Discussion as to limiting attendance vs. encouraging attendance due to the fact that Sauk County is the host. Motion by Fordham, seconded by Alexander to allow any current member to attend and reimburse for per diem, mileage and registration fee only. Motion carried.
MIS:
S. Pate, MIS Director presented the monthly report/list of bills. He additionally provided current/YTD statistics with projects (Tax System, Imaging System) providing help call assistance and so far managed to continue to control virus issues. Motion by Fordham, seconded by Bach to receive report and approve bills in the amount of $ 59,223.53. Motion carried.
Pate presented a request for Computer Donations. Motion by Bach, seconded by Alexander to approve the request to approve donation of one Desktop CPU to Food Share Employment & Training (FSET). Motion carried.
County Clerk:
R. DeMars, County Clerk, presented the monthly report/list of bills. She advised transition to her new position is going very good. They will be having (2) elections within four weeks. The Primary Recall Election on July 12 and then the Recall Election on August 9. Motion by Alexander, seconded by Fordham to receive the report and approve bills in the amount of $ 5,567.21. Motion carried.
Corporation Counsel:
Alene Kleczek-Bolin, Assistant Corporation Counsel presented the monthly report/list of bills. She reviewed monthly statistics. Motion by Fordham, seconded by Bach to receive the report and approve bills in the amount of $ 1,431.17. Motion carried.
Administrative Coordinator:
K. Schauf, Administrative Coordinator, presented the monthly report/list of bills. Her report included the status of the preparation of the 2012 budget; WRS Employee contribution to begin at the end of August, TMG functional group meetings and CDBG projects. Motion by Bach, seconded by Fordham to receive the report and approve bills in the amount of $ 118.80. Motion carried.
County Board Chair:
Chair Krueger reported on his monthly activities, specifically noting:
• Transition in County Clerk’s office
• Sauk County Development Corporation – major change with staff, new leadership. SCDC may possibly be leasing area in West Square Bldg., with shared services that Sauk County could provide for a cost. Sauk County is 50 % owner of SCDC and with this opportunity; we can provide the support and enhancement that SCDC needs and ultimately beneficial for all.
• June 10 – meeting with County Clerk Department regarding transition and Rebecca DeMars sworn in at 8:30 A.M.
• June 14 – meeting with M. Gottlieb, Secretary-DOT.
• June 15 – meeting with Dan Brown; Sauk County Administrator Coordinator
• TMG Committee
• White “Dairy Breakfast”
• EDC and SCDC meetings were held at White’s
