This meeting is open to the public. In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, however, members of the public may wish to watch the meeting on streaming video which can be found on the Sauk County webpage at https://www.co.sauk.wi.us/meetings. No one should attend the meeting if they are experiencing COVID- or flu-like symptoms, have a fever, sore throat or recently experienced a loss of taste or smell. Land Resources and Environment (LRE) Committee member present: M. Krueger, R. Nelson,
R. Curry, P. Kinsman, V. McAuliffe (arrived at 9:27a.m.), D. Polivka, R. Puttkamer (arrived at 9:01 a.m.)

At 9:00 am Chair Krueger called the Land Resources and Environment Committee meeting to order and certified to be in compliance with the Open Meeting Law.
Adopt agenda - Motion by Curry/Nelson to adopt the agenda. Motion carried, all in favor.
Adopt minutes of previous meeting- July 27, 2021 - Motion by Polivka/Curry to approve the July 27, 2021 LRE Committee meeting minutes. Motion carried, all in favor.
Public comment - None
Communications Wilson presented the monthly pollen flyer for the month of July and also presented the Clean Sweep Flyer which is coming up on September 25, 2021. Nelson, Kinsman, and Polivka volunteered to help at Clean Sweep. Nelson asked how the Dane County voucher program is going. Wilson explained.
Land Records
Department report - Felton provided the department report.
b. Review and approval of vouchers - Motion by Polivka/Kinsman to approve the vouchers in the amount of $386.00. Motion carried, all in favor.
Surveyor
Department report - Dederich provided the department report.
b. Review and approval of vouchers - Motion by Curry/Polivka to approve the vouchers in
the amount of $2,029.75. Motion carried, all in favor.
Register of Deeds
Department report - Krueger noted that Brent Bailey was unable to attend, if Committee members have questions on the report, they should contact Bailey directly.
Review and approval of vouchers - Motion by Kinsman/Polivka to approve the vouchers in the amount of $11,074.00. Motion carried, all in favor.
Land Resources and Environment
Department report - Wilson provided the department report.
Review and approval of vouchers - Motion by Kinsman/Nelson to approve the vouchers in the amount of $24,807.77 for LRE and $17,989.24 for Parks. Motion carried, all in favor.
Discussion and possible action on a Resolution Approving an Amendment to the Town of Fairfield Zoning Ordinance pursuant to Wis. Stat §60.62(3).
Simmert provided background and history of the request.Tim Stone Chair for the Town of Fairfield came forward to answer any questions.Nelson asked what are the changes were trying to be accomplish.Stone explained.Motion by Polivka/Curry to approve the resolution approving an Amendment to the Town of Fairfield Zoning Ordinance. Motion carried, all in favor.
Discussion and possible action to set a date for the Fall Parks Tour.
Committee member discussed potential dates.The Fall Parks Tour will be tentatively scheduled for October 1, 2021 at 8:00 a.m.Motion by Curry/Nelson.Motion carried, all in favor.
Discussion and possible action on a Resolution Approving the Quit Claim Deed with
Sauk County Historical Society for the Transfer of property at Man Mound National
Historic Landmark.
Fowler present background and history of the request. Motion by Nelson/Kinsman to
approve the Resolution for Quit Claim Deed with Sauk County Historical Society for the
transfer of property at Man Mound National Historic Landmark.
Discussion and possible action on a conditional use permit for a Planned Rural
Development (PRD) lot for Jodi Vogel, located in Section 4, T12N, R05E Town of
Excelsior, Sauk County, pursuant to Chap 7 Subchapter IX, of the Sauk County Code
of Ordinances.
Hillmann presented the conditional use permit for a planned rural development lot for
Jodi Vogel. Motion by Polivka/Kinsman. Motion carried, all in favor.

d. Economic Development Committee – Chair Krueger shared there was a joint meeting with
finance regarding broadband as well as ARPA funds for a job skill training center, and a branding
campaign.
e. Mirror Lake District – Annual meeting will be held August 21, 2021. Chair Krueger stated they
are working with the Town of Delton on the Old Lake Rd. Boat Ramp renovations. Curry feels it
will pass once the Town receives the DNT report.
f. Lake Virginia Management District - None
Next meeting dates – Monday, August 23, 2021 and Tuesday, August 31, 2021
Motion by Polivka/Curry to adjourn at 9:44 am. Motion carried, all in favor.
