6. Public hearing: To begin at approximately 9:15 a.m. (Committee to consider and take possible action at the conclusion of the respective hearing.)
a. Discussion and possible action on petition #7-2016, granting of a Conditional Use Permit (CUP) pursuant to s.7.040(3) to authorize a metal fabrication business. This property is located in an Agriculture zoning district, in Section 14, T13N, R2E, Town of Woodland, owned by John J. Shaker.
7. Discussion and possible action on a conditional use permit for a Planned Rural Development (PRD) lot for the Meyer Family Trust/Daniel Meyer located in Sections 26 & 27, T10N R5E, Town of Honey Creek, Sauk County pursuant to Subchapter IX, of the Sauk County Zoning Code of Ordinance.
8. Discussion and possible action on a conditional use permit for a Planned Rural Development (PRD) lot for LaDell Shimniok located in Section 10, T11N R5E, Town of Freedom, Sauk County pursuant to Subchapter IX, of the Sauk County Zoning Code of Ordinance.
9. Next meeting dates- Thursday April 14th and Tuesday, April 26th, 2016.

Conservation, Planning, and Zoning (CPZ) Committee members present: J. Ashford, N. Johnson, D. Polivka, J. Fish, J. Dietz, E. Peterson, C. Lehman, S. Laubscher.
Absent: None.
Others present: B. Michalek, G. Templin, B. Simmert, D. Lorenz, J. Shaker.
At 9:00 a.m. Chair Ashford called the Conservation, Planning, and Zoning Committee meeting to order and Templin certified to be in compliance with the Open Meetings Law.
Adopt agenda: Motion by J. Fish/D. Polivka to adopt the agenda as presented. Motion carried, all in favor.
Motion by C. Lehman/J. Fish to approve the March 10th CPZ Committee meeting minutes. Motion carried, all in favor.

Communications:
Michalek spoke of the FOIA request to Baraboo News.
Public Hearing: To begin at approximately 9:15 a.m. (Committee to consider and take possible action at the conclusion of the respective hearing.)
a. Discussion and possible action on petition #7-2016, granting of a Conditional Use Permit (CUP) pursuant to s.7.040(3) to authorize a metal fabrication business. This property is located in an Agriculture zoning district, in Section 14, T13N, R2E, Town of Woodland, owned by John J. Shaker.
Dave Lorenz appeared and provided and history and background of the property and request, reviewed a map and photos of the property and any conditions associated if the committee chooses to approve the conditional use permit. He noted that the Town of Woodland reviewed the request.
Jon Shaker, applicant, appearing in favor of the request, spoke of the request for the permit and that he will be using an existing building for the business and he will keep all business inside of the building.
Dietz asked about the truck traffic from the Foundry. Shaker stated he does all the hauling himself and using his own trucks and assured the committee that there will be no wear and tear on the roads. Dietz asked about the number of trips per week. Shaker stated he goes about once a week for pickups and once or twice a month for supplies.
Seeing as there was no one else that wished to speak, Chair Ashford closed the public hearing at 9:30 a.m.
Motion by D. Polivka/E. Peterson to approve the Conditional Use Permit (CUP) to authorize a metal fabrication business located in an agricultural zoning district in the Town of Woodland. Motion carried, all in favor.
Discussion and possible action on a conditional use permit for a Planned Rural Development (PRD) lot for the Meyer Family Trust/Daniel Meyer located in Sections 26 & 27, T10N R5E, Town of Honey Creek, Sauk County pursuant to Subchapter IX, of the Sauk County Zoning Code of Ordinance. Simmert appeared and provided a background on the request, the approval by the Town of Honey Creek and the rate of 0% conversion rate. Motion by N. Johnson/C. Lehman to approve the PRD lot for the Meyer Family Trust with a 0% conversion rate. Motion carried, all in favor.
Discussion and possible action on a conditional use permit for a Planned Rural Development (PRD) lot for LaDell Shimniok located in Section 10, T11N R5E, Town of Freedom, Sauk County pursuant to Subchapter IX, of the Sauk County Zoning Code of Ordinance. Simmert appeared and provided a background and history on the property and request. He noted the Town has not had an opportunity to meet on the request, however, the Plan Commission has met and approved the request. He noted the conversion rate is not applicable. He concluded that it meets all the program requirements. Motion by J. Fish/D. Polivka to approve the request, based on approval by the Freedom for a PRD by LaDell Shimniok. Motion carried, all in favor.
Next meetings of the Conservation, Planning, and Zoning Committee will be held on Thursday, April 14, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. and Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. Motion by J. Fish/E. Peterson to adjourn at 9:35 a.m. Motion carried, all in favor.
