1. Call Meeting to Order:
The meeting was called to order and certification of Open Meeting compliance was given at 3:33p.m.
2. Agenda:
Motion by T. Dorner, second by P. Rego to adopt agenda. Motion carried.
3. Minutes:
Motion by P. Rego, second by P. Cummings to approve previous meeting minutes. Motion carried.
4. Public Comment: NONE
5. Discussion regarding proposed amendments to CJCC bylaws:
R. Spoentgen explains eliminating standing committees and forming Ad Hoc groups/task forces as needed. This gives flexibility to address specific issues. Wording was amended in bylaws for “Quorum”. Sent to Corp Counsel for review. Vote will be taken at next meeting.
6. Justice, Diversion, and Support Report:
Currently have 13 active participants. Visited Manitowoc Treatment Court- they have courtroom full of community members for support. New Case Coordinator- Jessica White. Will work on community outreach with DHS. Attended PTACC Deflection & Pre-Arrest Diversion Summit beginning of August. Have 21 social contacts for SUDS. Educational Navigator program is going well. DSA program- grant application submitted. Currently have 9 active participants and 2 pending terminations.
7. Discussion regarding NACO conference attendance:
Was scheduled in May, bur cancelled due to weather. Next one is in Ohio, October 24-27, 2022.
8. Discussion and possible action regarding bail monitoring program:
Bail Jumping is an ongoing issue. Not in jail and not on cash bond- monitored by a system. Judges would not support a bail monitoring program. GPS/SCRAM bracelets, GEO locations. Light level of supervision- more than a promise to be good, less than full time supervision in jail.
9. Discussion regarding strategic planning and program planning:
Information Sharing, Stepping Up Initiative, Mental Health in the jail

Has not met for a few months due to committee member vacancies.

Has not met for a few months due to committee member vacancies.

c . Victims Focus Committee
Short meeting yesterday, 8/17/22- interview room almost done.
