Continuum of Care Committee Minutes February 1, 2018   

Members present:   Joan Fordham, William Hambrecht, John Miller, Mary Ellen Murray, Henry Netzinger, Kristin White Eagle.  Craig Braunschweig arrived at 4:10pm

Absent: none

Others present:   Marty Krueger, Dan Brattset, Jennifer Vosen, Susan Blodgett, Chuck Spencer, Jean Berlin, Alene Kleczek Bolin

 

1.  Meeting was called to order at 4:00 p.m. by Henry Netzinger and certified compliance with the open meeting law.

 

2.  Motion by Fordham, second by Hambrecht , to adopt the agenda.  Motion carried.

 

3.  Public Comment –none

 

4.  Communications- previous meeting minutes reviewed.  Motion by Fordham, second by Murray to accept minutes of previous meeting.  Motion carried

 

5.  Discussion of financial and social impact to county and its residents should the nursing home be shut down or sold.  Committee closely reviewed information/data provided by Vosen.  Discussion followed and consensus was made to not recommend closing or selling the nursing home. 

 

6.  Definition and consideration of services offered in continuum campuses of other county run organization.  Committee reviewed information provided by Vosen.  Discussion followed.

 

7.  Discussion of options being offered by state to deal with Alzehimer’s dementia that is violent in nature.  Committee reviewed information provided by Brattset.  Discussion followed.

 

8.  Discussion of options available for the Health Care Center Campus.  Possible options were provided by Blodgette, Brattset, and Vosen.  Discussion followed.

 

9.  Determine data questions that will need to be updated in future study.  Discussion that PH, Alzheimer’s and Dementia Alliance, or UW Extension  may already have some up to date data on population data.  Vosen is to reach out to programs to see if able to assist with information gathering.  Discussion to continue next meeting. 

 

9.  Next Meeting Date: March 1, 2018 4 pm West Square Building.  Agenda items to include resolution to move forward with study to further develop the campus.
