Resolution 114a-2011 Denying The Rezoning Of Lands In The Town Of Baraboo From A Resource Conservancy-35 To A Commercial Zoning District Filed Upon Garry Zellmer, Property Owner (Petition 6-2011). Moved (Gaalswyk/Halfen). Supervisor Gaalswyk with overview. Discussion regarding surrounding property zoning; Highway 12 guidelines; Chapter 7 sign ordinance; closed session guidelines; note of Township of Baraboo support for rezoning request; encouraging business development on the Highway BD entertainment corridor; support of, and opposition to denying rezoning request.
Chair Krueger clarified a yes vote for this resolution denies petition 6-2011 to rezone, (if resolution passes).
A no vote, (if resolution fails), would return petition 6-2011 to rezone back to the Planning, Zoning and Land Records Committee for consideration. If approved at Committee level, the recommendation to approve petition 6-2011 to rezone would be brought to the Board of Supervisors as an ordinance.
VOTE: AYE: (14) Ashford, Bach, Carlson, Dippel, Fordham, Gaalswyk, Halfen, Haugen, Kriegl, Murray, Smoke, Stehling, Wenzel, and Wiese. NAY: (14).
