SAUK COUNTY AD HOC COMMITTEE: BOARD STRUCTURE, SIZE & COMPENSATION
Thursday, August 24, 2017, at 4:30 p.m.
WEST SQUARE BUILDING, 505 BROADWAY, ROOM 213, BARABOO, WI
Members Present: Dennis Polivka, Andy Andrews, John Deitrich, David Moore, Peter Vedro
Others Present: Cindy Bodendein, Joan Fordham, Chuck Spencer, Deb O’Rourke
Meeting was called to order at 4:30 p.m. by Moore
Adopt Agenda: Motion by Polivka, second by Andrews to adopt Agenda. Agenda approved.
Public Comment: None
Communications: None
Presentation: Department Head input regarding committee structure compiled by Adm. Coordinators Office
Board Structure:Discussion on changing committee structure. Motion by Andrews to incorporate Communications Infrastructure Committee into Property & Insurance Committee. Second by Vedro. Discussion. Motion carried. Motion by Andrews to incorporate Personnel Committee into Finance Committee. Second by Moore. Motion to amend by Moore: to incorporate Personnel Committee into Finance Committee, with two members of Personnel joining Finance, resulting in 7 members in Finance Committee. Second by Andrews. Discussion. Motion by Deitrich to postpone motion to next Ad Hoc Committee meeting in September. Second by Polivka. Motion carried. Motion by Andrews to incorporate Arts & Culture to Economic Development. Second by Vedro. Discussion. Motion carried.
Motion by Moore to incorporate ADRC Committee into Human Serviced Board. Second by Vedro. Discussion. Motion carried. Motion by Moore to have Veterans Service Office report to E&L Committee. Second by Andrews. Discussion. Motion carried.
Board Compensation: Discussion on ideas regarding board compensation, including stipend, salary, increasing per diem, no change. Requested information on self-organized county status.
Next Meeting Date: Meetings are scheduled for the third Monday of each month at 4:30 p.m. in Rm# 213 of the Sauk County West Square Building. Next meeting is scheduled for September 18, 2017.
Motion by Deitrich second by Vedro to adjourn meeting at 6:15 p.m.Motion Carried.
