Members Present: Arthur Carlson, Chair, Janice Brown, Ruth Dawson, Vern Demers, Eileen Klepper, Janet Pearson, and Joan Wurcherer
Others Present: Trish Vandre, Aging & Disability Resource Center of Sauk County Director and Thomas Litscher, Aging & Disability Resource Center of Sauk County Mobility Operations Manager , Lee J. Roundy, Aging & Disability Resource Center of Sauk County Fiscal Accounting Technician
Absent: Theron Hill and Phyllis Johnson
CALL TO ORDER AND CERTIFY COMPLIANCE WITH OPEN MEETING LAW: The Meeting was called to order by A. Carlson at 8:32 a.m. and was certified to be in compliance with the Open Meeting Law.
ADOPT AGENDA: Motion by V. Demers to adopt the Agenda, second by R. Dawson. Motion carried.
ADOPT MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING: Motion by V. Demers to approve the February 7, 2012 Regular Meeting Minutes, second by R. Dawson. Motion carried.
PUBLIC COMMENT: None.
COMMUNICATIONS: T. Vandre presented an Elder Benefit Specialist customer note of appreciation. A. Carlson read aloud a letter from Wisconsin Assemblyman Howard Marklien regarding Logisticare.
ADVOCACY:
A. Response to Mailings Received by Members: None.
B. Update from the Communities: Issues Raised, Priorities Expressed: E. Klepper presented a conversation she had with a Merrimac man who attended the Café Connections years ago, and he did not want to participate in the exercise activity. T. Vandre responded that participation is not mandatory. A. Carlson raised the parking issues at the West Square Building.
C. Legislative Update: T. Vandre recommended that Committee members review all National Level candidates with older adults in mind.
AGING & DISABILITY RESOURCE CENTER OF SOUTHWEST WISCONSIN – NORTH BOARD UPDATE: A. Carlson presented the Aging & Disability Resource Center of Southwest Wisconsin – NorthBoard Update for Committee discussion.
AGING & DISABILITY RESOURCE CENTER DEPARTMENTAL UPDATE: T. Vandre presented the Aging & Disability Resource Center departmental update for Committee discussion.
BUSINESS ITEMS:
A. Review Aging Unit Plan Public Hearing Comments: T. Vandre presented the Aging Unit Plan Public Hearing comments for Committee review.
B. 2013-2015 Aging Unit Plan Development: Withdrawn by T. Vandre. T. Vandre presented the 2013 – 2015 Aging Unit Plan for Committee discussion.
C. 2013 Budget Process: Review the Aging & Disability Resource Center 2013 Program Funding and Expenditure Graphs: L. Roundy distributed and presented the Aging & Disability Resource Center 2013 Program Funding and Expenditure Graphs for Committee review.
NEXT MEETING: The next Regular Aging & Disability Resource Center Advisory Committee Meeting will be held Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at 8:30 a.m. at the West Square Building, 505 Broadway, Baraboo, Wisconsin 53913.
ADJOURNMENT: Motion by V. Demers to adjourn the Aging & Disability Resource Center Advisory Committee at 10:33 a.m., second by J. Pearson. Motion carried.
