ATTENDANCE:
Aging & Disability Resource Center Advisory Committee Members Present: Steven Bach, Arthur Carlson, Betty Durst, Theron Hill, Darwin Nelson, Janet Pearson, Ralph Soeldner

Others Present: Mike Linton, Coalition of Wisconsin Aging Groups President, Trish Vandre, Aging & Disability Resource Center Director, Lee J. Roundy, Aging & Disability Resource Center Fiscal Accounting Technician

Absent: Phyllis Johnson, Sandy Roemer-Rutter

CALL TO ORDER: The meeting was called to order by A. Carlson at 8:30 a.m. and was certified to be in compliance with the Open Meeting Law.

AGENDA: Motion by T. Hill to adopt the Agenda, second by S. Bach. Motion carried.

ADOPT MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING: Minutes were not available for approval.

PUBLIC COMMENT: None registered.

COMMUNICATIONS: T. Vandre presented information regarding input opportunities for the Older Americans Act reauthorization.

BOARD DEVELOPMENT:

A. Appearance by Mike Linton, President, Coalition of WI Aging Groups: M. Linton distributed and presented information on the Coalition for Committee discussion.

DEPARTMENTAL UPDATE:

A. 2009 Year-End Service Statistics: L. Roundy distributed and presented the 2009 Year-End service statistics.

B. Café Connections Pilot Update: T. Vandre provided an update regarding the Café Connections Pilot for Committee discussion.

C. $1,000.00 Grant Received from Wal-Mart Lake Delton to be Used in Programs Serving Older Adults: T. Vandre presented information regarding the Grant for Committee discussion.

D. Continuum of Care Committee Re-chartered: T. Vandre presented information regarding the Continuum of Care Committee for Committee discussion.

ADVOCACY:

A. Response to Mailings Received by Members: Committee discussed the materials mailed to them since the October 2009 Meeting.

B. Report from the Communities: Issues Raised, Priorities Expressed: D. Nelson presented the concerns from Merrimac citizens regarding the Baraboo News Republic article about the 2010 Dining Center Program.

AGING & DISABILITY RESOURCE CENTER OF SOUTHWEST WISCONSIN – NORTH BOARD UPDATE: S. Bach provided an update from the most recent Aging & Disability Resource Center of Southwest Wisconsin – North Board meeting.

BUSINESS ITEMS:

A. Review of the 2010 ADRC Goals: T. Vandre distributed and presented the 2010 ADRC Goals for Committee review.

B. Utilization Study of Nutrition Program and Dining Center Participation: T. Vandre presented information regarding the 2010 Nutrition Program and Dining Center participation for Committee discussion.

C. Review of ADRC Marketing Materials: T. Vandre distributed and presented the Materials for Committee discussion.

NEXT MEETING: The next Regular Aging & Disability Resource Center Advisory Committee Meeting will be held Wednesday, May 5, 2010 at 8:30 a.m. at the West Square Building, Conference Room 213 on the Second Floor.

ADJOURNMENT: Motion by D. Nelson to adjourn the Aging & Disability Resource Center Advisory Committee at 10:28 a.m., second by J. Pearson. Motion carried.
