Warrant and Drug Arrest - Spring Green

On January 20th, 2016, The Sauk County Sheriff’s Office received information that a man wanted by the Wisconsin Department of Corrections by the name of James Heather, 25 years of age, was staying at a Motel in the Spring Green area. Information was also received that Heather could possibly be in possession of a firearm and Methamphetamine.

Heather was located at a motel in the Township of Spring Green where he was registered under a false name.

Responding Deputies and Officers found Heather hiding under a bed with a firearm by his side and the false identification he had registered under. He was taken into custody without incident.

In a search of Heather’s room, over 8 grams of Methamphetamine was located as well as numerous items of drug paraphernalia, including syringes, electronic scales and packaging materials for sales of drugs. Heather was taken to the Sauk County Jail and is being charged with the following offenses:

  • Felon in Possession of a Firearm, SS 941.29(2) A Class G Felony

  • Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Deliver, SS 961.41(1m)(e)2 A Class E Felony

The Sauk County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Spring Green Police Department and the Wisconsin State Patrol.
