UPDATED RELEASE ON FOUND CHILD
On June 11, 2015 the Sauk County Sheriff’s Office, Baraboo Police Department, and Columbia County Department of Human Services began an investigation into a two year old being found at a construction site a short distance from his home.
Investigators are continuing to conduct interviews and analyze evidence in an attempt to determine how and why the child ended up at the construction site; however, a stranger abduction is not suspected in this case.
The child was medically examined and released back to his home on June 11, 2015. No criminal charges are pending in this case at this time.
