Update to Tuesday Fire Investigation

The Sauk County Sheriffs Office has identified the victim of the fatal fire in the Township of Dellona on Tuesday, April 14^th, 2015 as Patsy L. Kozlowski, age 77, a resident of address where the fire was reported.

Initial investigation indicates that Kozlowski was burning brush outside the residence, which became out of control. In an effort to extinguish the fire herself, she is believed to have been overcome and collapsed in the area of the fire.

An autopsy was conducted on Wednesday, and the results are pending at this time.

The incident remains under investigation by the Sauk County Sheriffs Office in conjunction with the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources Forestry investigators.
