Terrytown Road Crash

On May 31, 2014 at approximately 3:35am the Sauk County Communications Center was notified of a single vehicle roll-over crash on Terrytown Road near the intersection with Excelsior Road in the Township of Excelsior.  Sheriff’s Deputies, North Freedom Fire and First Responders, Baraboo Ambulance, and Baraboo Fire Department were sent to the scene.

Responders arrived and found a 1998 Ford F150 pick-up truck was westbound on Terrytown Road when the operator lost control causing it to roll over several times.  There was a driver and a passenger in the vehicle and one subject was ejected.

UW Hospital Med-Flight was requested to respond to the scene.  One subject was transported to St. Clare Hospital by Baraboo Ambulance and the other subject was pronounced dead at the scene by Sauk County Coroner Greg Hahn.

The names of those involved are being withheld at this time pending notification of next of kin.  Alcohol and speed are factors in this crash.  One subject was wearing his seatbelt and the subject ejected was not.  This incident remains under investigation by the Sauk County Sheriff’s Office.
