Suspicious Activity

News Release

 

   The Sauk County Sheriff’s Office wants the public to be aware of some individuals possibly looking to commit thefts or scams in the area.

   On May 27, 2015 a resident of the Town of Excelsior reported finding a male who was unknown to them had entered the porch area of their home.  The male was demanding to fix the homeowner’s roof and wanted to enter the home.  The male left without gaining access to the home.  The homeowner described the suspects and vehicle as follows:

Suspect vehicle – Newer model gray quad cab pickup truck with a topper, possibly a Chevrolet.

Suspect #1 – Male Hispanic, 5’10”, 150 lbs, dark hair, slender build, unshaven, speaks with an accent, wearing a dark baseball cap on backwards.

Suspect #2 – Male that remained inside the truck so no description is available.

   On May 25, 2015 suspects with a similar description attempted to take a person’s dog as they were walking it in the Village of Rock Springs.  The suspects fled the scene in a gray Chevrolet pickup truck with a topper and were described as two Hispanic males and a white female.  It is unknown if these two incidents are related.
