Suspect From Plain Arrested For Burglary

On 01/05/17 at approximately 3:50 A.M., the Sauk County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a burglary at the Cennex Station in the Village of Plain.  An employee from Cennex arrived for work and found the front door glass was smashed.

Upon Sheriff’s Deputies arrival, the building was cleared and no suspects were located.  During the investigation a possible suspect was identified.  At approximately 6:15 A.M., Sheriff’s Deputies made contact at a residence in Plain.  As a result of the investigation, Corey L. Forrester, age 24, from Plain, was arrested and charged with Burglary, Criminal Damage To Property, Theft, and Bail Jumping. 

Also during the investigation, three stolen firearms were recovered.  The firearms were stolen from a vehicle in the Village of Plain this past weekend.  The Plain Police Department is conducting a follow up investigation reference the stolen firearms.

Forrester is currently out on bail from Dane County for Burglary, Theft, Criminal Damage To Property, Resisting Or Obstructing An Officer, and Bail Jumping.

Forrester was transported to the Sauk County Jail.
