STH 60 Crash

On January 19, 2018 at approximately 10:40am the Sauk County Communications Center was notified of a two vehicle head on collision on STH 60 west of Fox Road in the Township of Troy.  Sheriff’s Deputies, Wisconsin State Patrol, Sauk County Highway Department, Sauk City Fire Department, Sauk Prairie Ambulance and Plain Ambulance were all sent to the scene.

The initial investigation revealed that a 2004 Toyota RAV 4 was eastbound on STH 60 when the driver crossed over the centerline and struck a 2014 Ford Fusion head on.  The driver of the Toyota was pronounced dead at the scene by the Sauk County Coroners Office.  The driver and passenger in the Ford Fusion were transported to Sauk Prairie Hospital for treatment of their injuries.  Names are not being released at this time pending notification of family.

STH 60 between CTH B and CTH C was closed down for over two hours as a result of this incident.  This crash remains under investigation by the Sauk County Sheriff’s Office.
