Sauk County Sheriff Chip Meister and the Sauk County Police Chiefs are announcing that the next Sauk County Alcohol Task Force deployment will be taking place on Tuesday March 17, 2015 for St. Patrick’s Day.  Deputies and Officers will be working the Highway 12 corridor from Sauk City to Lake Delton and the Highway 33 corridor from Baraboo to Reedsburg.   The grant is distributed by Wisconsin Bureau of Transportation Safety and will be used to reimburse participating agencies in overtime costs to put additional officers out on the streets to target specific areas for drunk driving enforcement.  The participating agencies in Sauk County are the Sauk County Sheriff’s Office, Baraboo Police Department, Lake Delton Police Department, Sauk Prairie Police Department, and the Reedsburg Police Department.  This grant will continue to run through September 2015.

In addition to this deployment, the Sauk County Sheriff’s Office will have extra Deputies on duty to combat drunk driving on March 13, March 14, March 20, and March 21.
