Pedestrian Fatal Crash
On August 3, 2014 at approximately 3:33am the Sauk County Communications Center was notified of a vehicle versus pedestrian crash on CTH BD at Penny Lane in the Township of Delton. Sauk County Sheriff's Deputies and Dells/Delton Ambulance were sent to the scene. Responders located the 31 year old male pedestrian laying in the roadway. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene by the Sauk County Coroner's Office.
The preliminary investigation revealed that the 31 year old was walking southbound on CTH BD in the lane of traffic when he was struck by a vehcle travelling southbound on CTH BD.
The identity of the pedestrian and of the driver of the vehicle are not being released at this time. Alcohol does not appear to be a factor with the driver of the vehicle. This crash remains under investigation by the Sauk County Sheriff's Office Crash Reconstruction Team and the Sauk County Coroner's Office.
