OWI Crash

News Release

 

  On September 18, 2015 at 11:54pm the Sauk County Communications Center received a call regarding a single vehicle crash involving a utility pole on CTH BD approximately 2/10 mile north of North Reedsburg Road in the Township of Delton.  Deputies responded and located a Honda SUV in the east ditch against a utility pole.  The pole was severely damaged and power lines were down.  The pole to the south of the vehicle was also damaged.  The crash caused a loss of electrical power from the crash scene north to the area of I-90/94.

 

  The driver of the vehicle, Marisa A. Zimmerman, age 23 of Tampa, Florida, refused medical treatment at the scene. She was the only occupant of the vehicle.  After an investigation Zimmerman was arrested for Operating a Motor Vehicle While Intoxicated, (1st Offense) and Failure to Keep Vehicle Under Control.

 

  The Sauk County Sheriff’s Department was assisted by the Wisconsin State PatrolLake Delton Fire Department and Dells-Delton Ambulance.  After approximately 2 hours electrical power was able to be restored by Alliant Energy.
