On Sunday, September 21, 2025 at approximately 6:33PM, a Deputy from the Sauk County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a report of a suspected impaired operator that was operating a motorcycle in the Village of Merrimac. The Deputy responded to the area and located the motorcycle, and operator, at the Ferry Crossing Bar. The Deputy made contact with the operator, who was identified as Trevor J Cone, age 43, of Merrimac.

While speaking with Cone, the Deputy observed signs of impairment. Cone was asked to perform field sobriety tests. As a result of those tests, Cone was placed under arrest for operating while under the influence – 6^th Offense.

Charges of operating while under the influence – 6^th offense, Operating after revocation 4+, failure to install IID, possession of THC, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia are being referred to the Sauk County District Court Attorney’s Office.
