OWI 5th
On Monday, September 4, 2023 at approximately 2:30 PM a deputy with the Sauk County Sheriff's Office conducted a traffic stop on Coon Bluff Road at North Reedsburg Road in the Township of Excelsior.
The operator of the vehicle was identified as Dennis Funmaker JR, age 39 of rural Lyndon Station. During contact with Funmaker the deputy noted signs of impairment. Funmaker was asked to do field sobriety tests and as a result of those tests, was arrested for Operating While Intoxicated 5th offense as well as a warrant from the Department of Corrections. Funmaker was transported to the Sauk County Jail.
Charges of Operating While Intoxicated 5th offense, Possession of Cocaine, Possession of Marijuana, Fail to Install Ignition Interlock Device and Operating after Revocation are being referred to the Sauk County District Attorney's Office.
