OWI #5

On March 23, 2024 at approximately 10:56PM, a Deputy from the Sauk County Sheriff’s Office initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle on Highway 12 near Fern Dell Road in the Town of Delton. The Deputy made contact with the operator, who was identified as Fred J Lau, age 49, of Hartford, WI.

While speaking with Lau, the Deputy observed signs of impairment. Lau was asked to perform field sobriety tests. As a result of those tests, Lau was placed under arrest for Operating While Intoxicated 5^th Offense.

Charges of Operating While Intoxicated 5^th Offense and speeding are being referred to the Sauk County District Attorney’s Office.
