On Friday, January 5th, 2024 at approximately 12:23 AM a deputy with the Sauk County Sheriff's Office conducted a traffic stop on 8th St. at County Highway T in the City of Baraboo.
The operator of the vehicle was identified as Brian C. Kelly, age 47 of rural North Freedom. During contact with Kelly the deputy noted signs of impairment. Kelly was asked to do field sobriety tests and as a result of those tests, Kelly was arrested for Operating While Intoxicated 5th offense. Kelly was transported to the Sauk County Jail.
Charges of Operating While Intoxicated 5th offense, Fail to Install Ignition Interlock Device and Operating after Revocation are being referred to the Sauk County District Attorney's Office.
