OWI 5
On Saturday, September 10, 2022 at approximately 8:20PM, a Sergeant from the Sauk County Sheriff’s Office initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle on Highway 33 near Coon Bluff Road in the Township of Excelsior. The Sergeant made contact with the operator, who was identified as David A Gavin, age 62, of Reedsburg.
While speaking with Gavin, the Sergeant observed signs of impairment. Gavin was asked to perform field sobriety tests. As a result of those tests, Gavin was placed under arrest for Operating While Intoxicated 5th Offense.
Charges of Operating While Intoxicated 5th Offense, Fail to Install Ignition Interlock Device, Operating after Revocation – OWI related, and Operating Left of Center are being referred to the Sauk County District Attorney’s Office.
