On Friday, February 11th, 2022 at approximately 12:31 AM a deputy with the Sauk County Sheriff's Office was on patrol on County Road P in the Township of Dellona. As the deputy approached the intersection of County P and Beaver Creek Road he located a vehicle stuck in the ditch on the north side of the road.
The deputy approached the 2000 Nissan Sentra and was able to observe that the vehicle was still running and was occupied. The operator of the vehicle was identified as Brent Geffert, age 35 of Reedsburg. While in contact with the Geffert the deputy observed signs of alcohol impairment. Geffert was requested to submit to field sobriety testing and refused to complete the tests. As a result, Geffert was arrested for Operating While Intoxicated - 5th Offense. After arrest, Geffert was transported to the Sauk County Jail and turned over to the custody of the jail staff.
