On Saturday, August 19, 2023 at approximately 10:37PM, a Deputy from the Sauk County Sheriff’s Office initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle on Highway 12 near Ski Hi Road in the Town of Sumpter. The Deputy made contact with the operator, who was identified as Leobardo Pina Velazquez, age 44, of Sauk City, WI.
While speaking with Pina Velazquez, the Deputy observed signs of impairment. Pina Velazquez was asked to perform field sobriety tests. As a result of those tests, Pina Velazquez was placed under arrest for Operating While Intoxicated 4th Offense.
Charges of Operating While Intoxicated 4th Offense, Operating after Revocation, and Obstruction are being referred to the Sauk County District Attorney’s Office.
