On Sunday April 9, 2023 at approximately 5:40PM the Sauk County Dispatch Center received a report of a tractor accident on Grover Road in the Township of Woodland. The reporting party stated she was run over by a tractor.

A Sauk County Sheriff’s Department Deputy arrived on scene and located a female who had fallen off a tractor and was run over by a trailer tire. The female was being tended to by EMS when the Deputy arrived on scene. The female was transported by Med Flight to the hospital.

The Deputy made contact with the operator of the tractor who was identified as Dean Krueger, age 58, of Wonewoc, WI. While speaking with Kruger, the Deputy observed signs of impairment. Kruger was asked to perform field sobriety tests. As a result of the tests, Kruger was placed under arrest for Operating While Intoxicated 3^rd Offense.

Charges of Operating while Intoxicated 3^rd Offense are being referred to the Sauk County District Attorney’s Office. The Sauk County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Cazenovia EMS and Fire, Reedsburg EMS, and UW Med Flight.
