On Monday, March 7th, 2022 at approximately 12:01 AM a deputy on patrol with the Sauk County Sheriff's Office located a vehicle parked on the side of Terrytown Road west of Fox Hill Road in the township of Baraboo. 

The deputy stopped to check on the 2000 Dodge Ram and made contact with the occupants. The driver, identified as Andrew Brokopp, age 34 of Baraboo, stated that the truck was having mechanical issues and was not drivable. While in contact with Brokopp the deputy was able to observe signs of alcohol impairment. Brokopp was submitted to field sobriety testing and as a result was arrested for Operating while Intoxicated, 3rd offense and Failure to Install an Ignition Interlock Device. Brokopp also received numerous traffic citations as a result of the contact. Brokopp was transported to the Sauk County Jail and transferred into custody of the jail staff.
