OMVWI #5 Arrest

January 15, 2014

On January 14, 2014 at approximately 10:55pm a Sauk County Sheriff’s Deputy stopped a vehicle on Main Street and Viking Drive in the City of Reedsburg for operating without any tail lamps lit.

The Deputy made contact with the operator, Daniel L. Kalepp, age 50, of Reedsburg, WI.  The Deputy could detect an odor of intoxicants on Kalepp’s breath and he showed signs of intoxication.  Because Kalepp has had four pevious convictions for Operating a Motor Vehicle While Intoxicated, he is only allowed to operate a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol concentration lower than .02%.

Kalepp was administered field sobriety tests and failed them.  As a result, Kalepp was arrested for Operating a Motor Vehicle While Intoxicated 5th Offense and incarcerated in the Sauk County Jail.
