The investigation revealed that a 2008 Chevrolet Lumina was being operated westbound on North Reedsburg Road by Cody C. Passehl, age 18, Medford, and Lonnie R. Nolan, age 16, Athens, were all ejected from the vehicle.

All three occupants were transported from the scene by Reedsburg Ambulance to Reedsburg Area Medical Center.  Hermanson suffered life threatening injuries and was later transported to UW Hospital in Madison by Med Flight.  Passehl and Nolan suffered non- life threatening injuries.

None of the occupants were wearing seatbelts.  Speed and alcohol are believed to be contributing factors in the crash.  Hermanson will be charged with Causing Injury by Intoxicated use of a Motor Vehicle, Speed too Fast for Conditions, Inattentive Driving, and Unreasonable and Imprudent Speed.
