Motorcycle Crash
News Release
On 05/15/15 at 5:08pm the Sauk County Communications received a call regarding a single motorcycle crash on CTH K at the intersection of Bass Road in the Town of Winfield. A Sauk County deputy responded and found that Rob S. Nordeng, age 45 from Beloit,was travelling north on CTH K as part of a group and failed to negotiate the curve south of Giles Road, causing him to continue onto the west shoulder of CTH K and across Bass Road. The motorcycle then flipped over and the operator was thrown. Nordeng was transported by Reedsburg Area Ambulance to Reedsburg Area Medical Center for treatment of a serious head injury. Nordeng was not wearing a helmet. He was later transferred to UW-Hospital via MedFlight. Speed may have been a factor in the crash. Alcohol was not a factor.
This crash remains under investigation by the Sauk County Sheriff’s Office. The Sauk County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Reedsburg Area Ambulance and the Reedsburg Police Department.
