Missing Person Located with Sheriff's Office Drone

WEDNESDAY JULY 1, 2020

 

On Wednesday, July 1, 2020, at about 7:53 am, the Sauk County Sheriff’s Office was requested to respond to S11229 CTH G, Spring Green to assist with locating a missing 90 year old man who had walked away from the residence during the early morning hours.

The male had been staying at the residence temporarily and the other occupants of the house were unaware that he had left the residence until later in the morning.

Upon arrival, deputies were able to use a drone to locate the man concealed between the standing rows of corn in a cornfield near the residence.  The man had fallen and could not get up.  He was transported to a local hospital by Plain Emergency Medical Services for medical evaluation.

The Sheriff’s Office was assisted on the call by the Sauk County K9 Team, Sauk County Drone Team, Wisconsin State Patrol, Plain Fire Department, and Plain Emergency Medical Services.
