SAUK COUNTY AUTHORITIES REQUESTING INFORMATION REGARDING MISSING CHILD AND HIS BIOLOGICAL MOTHER

The Sauk County Sheriff’s Department and the Sauk Prairie Police Department are requesting the public’s assistance in attempting to locate a missing 3 ½ year old boy who is believed to be traveling with his biological mother. Investigators believe that the pair may be traveling to Mexico or Uruguay in violation of the court ordered custody arrangement. The missing child is Leonelly “Leo” Gabriel Barron Age 3 ½ (see attached photo). Leonelly is described as being approximately two feet seven inches tall and weighs approximately 35 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. Leonelly reportedly wears his hair in a “frohawk” style, where the hair is longer and wavy on top and shaved on the sides. The child is believed to be in the company of his biological mother, Maria Jose Mendieta (a.k.a. Maria Barron or Maria J Rampa) female Hispanic age 20 (see attached photo). Custody of the child was transferred to his mother on February 20, 2013. According to the court order, the child should have been returned to his biological father on Tuesday February 26th at 4:00 P.M.
