Man arrested for Burglary, Theft of Motor Vehicle and others

On Monday, April 13th, 2015, Sauk County Sheriffs Detectives arrested Barry W. Riddle, 33 years of age of Reedsburg for a Residential Burglary in the Township of Westfield that was committed in December of 2014. DNA and other physical evidence linked Riddle to that Burglary.

Subsequent to that arrest a Sheriffs Detective interviewed Riddle, during which Riddle admitted to stealing a truck and an All-Terrain Vehicle from the United Co-Operative in the City of Reedsburg on April 12th, and subsequently trading the ATV for a rifle.

The truck was located in the Township of Woodland, off the roadway, after having been on fire. The ATV was recovered as well as the firearm that was traded for the ATV.

Riddle is also charged with Possession of a Firearm as a Felon, Operating a Motor Vehicle without the Owners Consent and Theft of Moveable Property.

Riddle will have a bond hearing related to these charges on Wednesday, April 15th.
