On Friday, October 30, 2015, at about 12:22 a.m., the Sauk County Communications Center received a report of a one vehicle crash on South Gasser Rd near Lehman Rd in the township of Baraboo.  The caller reported the vehicle had overturned and the operator had been ejected.

The initial investigation revealed that a 1999 Ford Explorer was being operated west bound on South Gasser Rd. by Rebekah Krayer, age 36, of North Freedom.  Krayer lost control of the Ford after cresting a hill and went into the ditch.  Subsequently, the Ford overturned and Krayer was ejected from the vehicle.

Krayer was transported to UW Hospital in Madison by Med Flight due to her injuries.  Baraboo District Ambulance Service, Baraboo Fire Department and Baraboo Police Department assisted the Sheriff’s Department at the scene.

Krayer was not wearing a seat belt.  Alcohol and speed were factors in the crash.
