Craig W. Lowry, age 45 of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, was the operator of the Ford.  Lowry died at the scene.  

John S. Lovell, age 70 of Seattle, Washington, was the operator of the Subaru.  

The Sauk County Sheriff's Office continues to investigate this crash.  

 

Initial News Release

On October 27, 2025 at approximately 5:40pm the Sauk County Communications Center was notified of a two vehicle crash on Hwy 60 near the intersection of Ferry Bluff Rd in the Town of Prairie Du Sac. Deputies arrived on scene and learned a Subaru traveling west bound was passing a semi. While passing, the Subaru entered the east bound lane and struck a Ford sedan that was traveling east bound. 

The operator of the Subaru was transported to a local hospital for injuries sustained during the crash. The operator of the Ford Sedan was pronounced deceased at the scene. The investigation is on-going and the names of those involved are not being released at this time.
