Fatal Motor Vehicle Crash - Update - Name Released
***Update*** - The name of the deceased driver in this incident is Brianna C. Espinoza White, age 29, of the city of Baraboo, WI.
On August 8, 2025 at approximately 8:35pm the Sauk County Dispatch Center was notified of a single vehicle crash. The vehicle was reported to be traveling west on Hwy 33 near the intersection of Hwy X in the town of Greenfield, Sauk County. The vehicle left the roadway and struck a house.
Baraboo Fire and EMS responded along with multiple Deputies from the Sauk County Sheriff's Department. Upon arrival it was learned the female driver and lone occupant a 29 year old female from the Baraboo area was deceased. Further investigation revealed a deer that was struck by a vehicle traveling eastbound on 33 entered the windshield of the vehicle traveling westbound. The deer entered the drivers compartment causing life threatening injuries to the driver. The vehicle then left the roadway and struck a house causing damage to both the vehicle and the house. No one inside of the residence was hurt.
The name of the deceased driver is pending notification of the family. The Sauk County Sheriff's Department was assisted by Baraboo Fire and EMS, and the Sauk County Coroner's Office.
