Drug Investigation

   On December 7th, 2014, at about 5:30 pm, the Sauk County Drug Task Force, acting upon a tip regarding drug trafficking in Sauk County, located the suspect vehicle and conducted a traffic stop for a traffic violation in the City of Reedsburg. A Sheriffs Office K-9 was utilized, and indicated the presence of drugs within the vehicle. A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed a large amount of Marijauna. As a result of the investigation, Maximillian Greenwood, 19 years old of Reedsburg, WI was arrested for Possession of Marijuana with intent to deliver and Felony Bailjumping based upon a prior arrest for the same criminal charge. Greenwood was taken to the Sauk County Jail and incarcerated. There were three additional persons in the suspect vehicle, the investigation is continuing and additional charges are pending or expected.

   The Sauk County Drug Task Force consists of Deputies, Troopers and Officers of the Sauk County Sheriffs Office, Wisconsin State Patrol, Reedsburg Police Department, Baraboo Police Department, Sauk Prairie Police Department, Spring Green Police Department and Lake Delton Police Department.
