Disturbance

On July 16, 2019 at approximately 1:00 am Sauk County Sheriff's Deputies were dispatched to a report of a disturbance at a residence on East Broadway in the Village of Rock Springs.  It was reported that a firearm was discharged during the disturbance and the victim fled the residence; however the male suspect remained inside the residence.

Deputies were unable to make contact with the male suspect, identified as Bradley Lewandowski, age 39, of Rock Springs, WI.  The Sauk County Emergency Response Team and Sauk County Negotiations Team were summoned to the scene.

Negotiators attempted contact for several hours with no response from Lewandowski.  Members of the Emergency Response Team made entry at 5:45am and Lewandowski was taken into custody without incident.

Lewandowski was incarcerated in the Sauk County Jail and preliminary charges are Domestic Abuse Disorderly Conduct, Domestic Abuse Battery, and Recklessly Endangering Safety.

As a result of this incident STH 136 was shut down between CTH I and CTH DD for approximately three hours.  The Sauk County Sheriff's Office was assisted by North Freedom Fire and First Responders and Reedsburg Ambulance.
