News Release

On July 7, 2016 at 4:52pm the Sauk County Communications Center received a call regarding a car versus bicycle crash at the intersection of STH 154 and Golf Course Road in the Township of Reedsburg.

Sheriff's Deputies and personnel from Reedsburg Ambulance and Reedsburg Fire Department responded to the scene.  An initial investigation revealed that a vehicle operated by Shelly L. Robinson, age 43 of Cazenovia, WI, was westbound on STH 154 and had slowed for a vehicle turning north on Golf Course Road.  As Robinson continued west a bicycle traveling south on Golf Course Road operated by a 12-year-old male from Racine, WI, failed to stop for the stop sign at the intersection and was struck by the Robinson vehicle.  The bicycle operator was transported to Reedsburg Area Medical Center by Reedsburg Ambulance with non-life threatening injuries.  The juvenile and his parents are involved in biking across Wisconsin.

The Sauk County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Reedsburg Ambulance and the Reedsburg Fire Department.
