Car vs. Grain Truck Crash - Fatality

The operator of the Mitsubishi was John F. Seibert, age 59, of Wonewoc, Wisconsin.  Seibert died at the scene from injuries sustained in the crash.

The operator of the International grain truck was Charles M. Harris, age 76, of Cazenovia, Wisconsin.  Harris received minor injuries in the crash.

FATALITY TRAFFIC CRASH - TOWN OF DELLONA

On Tuesday, October 12th, 2021 at approximately 10:10 AM the Sauk County dispatch center received multiple reports of a two vehicle crash on County Road H at the intersection with D and W Road in the Township of Dellona. It was reported that the crash was between a passenger car and a semi truck.

First responding deputies on scene located the crash between a 2006 Mitsubishi Eclipse and a 2007 International grain truck which had resulted in total lane blockage of both lanes. The driver of the International received minor injuries as a result of the crash. The driver of the Mitsubishi sustained fatal injuries as a result of the crash and was pronounced deceased on scene. 

Preliminary investigation shows that the Mitsubishi was turning onto County Road H off of D and W Road when it failed to yield the right of way and turned into the path of the oncoming International. The crash remains under investigation by the Sauk County Sheriff's Office and the Wisconsin State Patrol. Names of those involved are being withheld pending notification of family.

Assisting the Sauk County Sheriff's Office on scene were members of the Wisconsin State Patrol, Reedsburg Fire, Reedsburg EMS, Reedsburg Police Department, Sauk County Highway Department and Platt's Towing.
