Burglary - Bluffview Citgo
On Saturday, December 19th, 2015, Sauk County Sheriff Deputies responded to the Citgo Convenience Store located at S7551 Hwy 12 in the Township of Sumpter for a reported burglary that had occurred overnight.
Investigation revealed that a person or persons entered the business after its closure the previous evening by manipulating the locking mechanism on a door. Once inside, they forcibly entered a safe on site and stole a significant amount of cash that was inside. Also stolen from the business were cigarettes. It is believed that the suspect(s) in this case were inside the business for some time.
This incident remains under investigation by Detectives of the Sauk County Sheriffs Office. The public is asked to call Sauk County Crime Stoppers at 1-888-TIP-SAUK (847-7285) with any information they may have on this, or any other incident. Rewards may be available and callers can remain anonymous.
