5th Offense OMVWI Arrest

On July 9, 2014 at approximately 3:40pm the Sauk County Communications Center was notified of a vehicle parked in the middle of the road and not moving on Gasper Drive just off of Gall Road in the Township of Baraboo.  It was reported that the driver of this vehicle was intoxicated and passed out in the drivers seat.

A Sauk County Sheriff’s Deputy and Baraboo Police Officer arrived on scene and found the driver to be passed out and unresponsive due to a severe intoxicated state.  Baraboo Ambulance was requested to the scene.  The driver was identified as Roger J. Slater, age 45, of Baraboo.

Slater was transported to St. Clare Hospital by Baraboo Ambulance.  Slater was medically cleared and arrested for Operating a Motor Vehicle While Intoxicated 5th Offense, Operating While Revoked 2nd Offense, and Open Intoxicants in a Motor Vehicle.  Slater was incarcerated in the Sauk County Jail.
