RESOLUTION TO ABOLISH THE VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR AND PROGRAM SPECIALIST POSITIONS AND CREATE THE PROGRAM COORDINATOR POSITION FOR THE AGING & DISABILITY RESOURCE CENTER OF SAUK COUNTY EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1, 2015

          WHEREAS, the Aging & Disability Resource Center of Sauk County (ADRC) has engaged in a year-long restructuring process in 2014; and

          WHEREAS, the ADRC has an active and growing corps of volunteers who forward the agency’s mission, a news-magazine that reaches over 6,000 households via U.S. Mail and email, and an emergency preparedness initiative that satisfies the agency’s Older Americans Act funding requirements; and

          WHEREAS, through the ADRC restructuring process, the positions of one full-time (1.00 FTE) Volunteer Coordinator and one full-time (1.00 FTE) Program Specialist will be abolished; and

          WHEREAS, through the ADRC restructuring process, the creation of one full-time equivalent (1.00 FTE) Program Coordinator position will support the ADRC’s mission by coordinating the ADRC’s volunteer corps, the editing/design/mailing of the ADRC’s AddLIFE Today! news-magazine and the ADRC’s emergency preparedness activities, and serve as receptionist backup; and

          WHEREAS, the creation of the Program Coordinator position combines two previous full-time equivalent positions; and

          NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Aging & Disability Resource Center of Sauk County be authorized to abolish one full-time equivalent (1.00 FTE) Volunteer Coordinator position and one full-time equivalent (1.00 FTE) Program Specialist position and create one full-time equivalent (1.00 FTE) Program Coordinator, effective January 1, 2015.

For consideration by the Sauk County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday, October 21, 2014.

Fiscal Note:  The 1.00 FTE Program Coordinator position has been budgeted in 2015 at $62,264 for wages and benefits and $5,510 in other costs including supplies, mileage, general liability insurance and MIS chargebacks.  This position is funded by 79.20% (8) federal and state revenue sources, family care, AddLIFE Today! publication fees, transportation program fares and 20.80% County Tax Levy.

MIS Note:  No MIS impact, computer hardware and software already in existence.
