Purpose

To purchase a truck for the Parks Department.

Background

The 2018 Sauk County budget authorized the expenditure of $55,000 for the purchase of a replacement vehicle to be used by the Parks Department. Notice was distributed to Sauk County dealers and state vendors. A bid noticed was also provided on the County’s website for all dealers, requesting bids for a vehicle to meet the Parks Department’s specifications. Five bids were received and the bid from Ewald Automotive Group of Hartford was found to best meet the needs and requirements put forth in the bid solicitation notice and was selected by the Sauk County Highway and Parks Committee as the most advantageous bid. As part of the bid, a 1999 Ford F250 and a 1984 Chevrolet Custom Deluxe will be traded in.
